Jaiden DeJarnett, a 16-year-old junior at Sparkman High School in Harvest, allegedly led Decatur police through two counties as officers pursued him.

Decatur police attempted to stop 16-year-old Jaiden DeJarnett in the city on Monday, with the pursuit stretching into Lawrence County, said Scott Norwood, the county coroner.The 16-year-old was a student at Sparkman High School in Harvest, where he was a member of the football team, the Decatur DailyPolice tried to stop a Mazda four-door sedan Jaiden was driving near Beltline Road Southwest and Danville Road around 2:40 a.m. Monday for a traffic violation, according to the Daily.
