Victorious: Mohd Fahry with his students Eusoff Rais and Muhammad Dzakirin — ONG SOON HIN/The StarRecently, the 43-year-old led two of his students – Eusoff Rais Suhaimi Abu Hassan and Muhammad Dzakirin Mohd Dazli – to winning the “best ethnic attire” award at the Merdeka Exploration Programme @ Muzium 2023.
“He’s the best teacher. We look forward to showing other students that they should take a chance and participate in future Merdeka programmes such as this even if they are not confident to do so. “I discussed with my students and they were very excited to try the costume on for the first time,” Mohd Fahry said, adding that securing their win was no easy feat.
Mohd Fahry himself was exemplary in his determination. Although he is wheelchair-bound, he did not let it deter him.
