He said the police discouraged the family from pursuing a further investigation because “their son is dead”.“It was like, every answer I gave, there was a rebound back for it, like he didn’t want to know,” said Butler.“As a mother, if I sent my son to school and that happened to him, I would not be OK with it. It’s not normal for your child to be groomed like that. It’s not normal,” said Butler.
