Many of the Lionesses are settled down with long-term partners while new romance has been brewing for a few others. Here, we take a look at their love lives ahead of their semi-final World Cup match

England's Lionesses are raring to go this morning in the Women's World Cup 2023 semi-final against co-hosts Australia.

“It’s all about us sticking to task, executing the game plan and embracing the moment. It’s the semi-final of a World Cup, you want that environment, you want it to be tense, you want it to be noisy. It’s a proud moment in the women’s game when people turn on the TV back home and they see what an incredible atmosphere we’ve created.

From their recent girls' trip to LA, where they posed on a beach together, to a romantic trip to Lyon in 2019, the duo have spent much of their time off in each other's company. Alex met Jack O’Connell, a Sheffield United footballer, at their sixth-form college Savio Salesian in Bootle, Merseyside. They sometimes give fans a glimpse into their lives together with holiday snaps posted to Instagram and it is no surprise that their home life also revolves around the game.

"Much needed downtime with my [love heart emoji] before a big summer ahead," she posted last month, alongside a photograph of the couple dressed up together. Winger Kelly aims to bring out her passion for the sport which she has adored since she was a young girl. Georgia Stanway At the age of 24, Georgia is one of the youngest players in England's World Cup line-up and aside from the national team, plays as an attacking midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich.

"I got to go to the after-match party and see all the girls – I know most of them because I've been with Georgia for a long time. I'm not going to say too much because she'll get big-headed but she knows how proud I am of her." Ella told The Times : "Whenever I go to Joe’s games, the amount of lads who come over to me is mad and that is what really makes me smile. I stand there a lot of the time with my hood up, trying to watch, but they’ll say, ‘Are you Ella Toone of United? Can I have a picture?’"

The pair made it official when they snapped a picture of them kissing on Instagram. Now, two years later, Kerr and Mewis are one of football's power couples. In an interview with Gaffer, Kerr said: "I think just being out and being two girls in love, I think if we can change one or two people's lives and the way that they feel about each other and how comfortable they feel, then that means a lot to me. I love to share my relationship on social media.
