MANILA, Philippines — Vice President and concurrent Education Chief Sara Duterte on Monday said that long-term salary increases for teachers are still being studied. During the Brigada Eskwela in Victorino Mapa High School in San Miguel, Manila, the Department of Education Secretary said that Marcos had already asked for the review as soon as they took up office.“Noong pagpasok namin last year, pag-upo ko, nag-utos si Pangulong Marcos na mag-procure ng study ng hindi lang yearly increase but the long-term outlook kung paano ba dapat ang increases ng suweldo ng ating mga teaching and non-teaching na DepEd personnel,” said Duterte.
