Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the various partners of the Department of Education (DepEd) as the agency formally launched the revised curriculum for Kindergarten to Grade 10 under the K to 12 Program.

During the launch of the MATATAG K to 10 Curriculum on Aug. 10, Duterte recognized those who “contributed time, resources, knowledge, and expertise” to DepEd’s efforts to bring about the “most needed reforms in our basic education and improve the learning efficiency of our children.”“Your help and support are truly important to DepEd and to the success of the reform agenda,” Duterte said.

She also acknowledged her predecessor, former DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones, who was among the guests during the launch. “I want to thank Secretary Liling Briones for her bold action and leadership,” Duterte said. Duterte added that the review and revisions fulfill the DepEd’s “pledge to evaluate” the K to 12 program following its initial implementation.
