This is how lecturers are treated here, which @ucu @BrightonUCU are trying to change.”: “Some universities are docking 10 per cent or 15 per cent or 50 per cent.
“I’ve not been able to plan for my salary to drop and I’ve been forced into temporary poverty. I’ll be going to my local food bank on Monday. Thankfully, family and friends have donated food. I haven’t been told what’s going to happen to my pay over the summer break. “I fully support any students asking for their tuition fees back. The redundancies will mean their education will suffer and existing staff will have extra workload. We have little time to prepare for these changes.”
