Monaghan Debs crash update as driver and one passenger remain in hospital

Two people remain in hospital after a horror crash which saw two friends killed on the way to their Debs ball.

The driver of the vehicle, a 60-year-old man, remains in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast while a female teenager is in a critical but stable condition in Cavan General Hospital. A male teenager received treatment for non-life threatening injuries. To help elevate the financial pressure on both Kiea and Dlava’s families to pay for the funeral costs, a Go Fund Me page has been set up by five friends.

“We are hoping to raise funds to elevate the financial pressure on both families at this heartbreaking time. The funds will be distributed equally between both families as agreed. Any donations however big or small are greatly appreciated.”
