The country is set to host the 14th ASEAN WorldSkills Competition in 2025 through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority , the agency announced. In a statement, TESDA Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu emphasized that the hosting, as well as participating in these international competitions, will help improve TESDA’s and the country’s tech-voc system’s readiness in facing the changes being brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
“Participating, and more so hosting of World Skills competitions, is an investment that would result to economic gains for the country through the WorldSkills standards that we should adopt,” he added. The country served as the vice-chairperson for the conduct of the 13th ASEAN WorldSkills Competition.
