Sir Chris Hoy is the official ambassador of the UCI Cycling World Championships and while he's in the city, the Scots man ran into his primary school teacher as the pair worked the event.
Taking to Instagram, the former track cyclist snapped a picture with Ms Mitchell, his primary school teacher, who was volunteering at the Championships as the pair at Glasgow Green reunited in the east end of the city. The 47-year-old wrote on his social media: "Just met my primary 3 teacher Ms Mitchell who’s volunteering at the @uci_cyclingworlds in Glasgow! Lovely to see her again after all these years!"Events like these simply wouldn’t happen without people like her giving up their time free of charge, so massive thanks to her and all her colleagues.
Just recently, Sir Chris Hoy was spotted dining at India Quay with smiles ear to ear as he snapped a selfie with one if its staff members with many more stars eating in Glasgow. Sign up to our daily Glasgow Live newsletter here to receive news and features direct to your inbox.
