La Mesa police respond to shooting on University Ave.

SAN DIEGO — The La Mesa Police Department says it responded to a shooting on University Ave. Sunday afternoon.Details are limited at this point; however, LMPD is advising the public to steer clear of the area for the time being.

UPDATE: This is an officer-involved shooting -- details are still limited at this point, but LMPD says its officer is OK. No information on the suspect or what led to the shooting exactly yet. 10News has sent a team to gather more details.
