Hardship: Senate Chief Whip, Ndume Asks Tinubu, Shettima To Directly Negotiate With Protesting Nigerian WorkersThe Senate Chief Whip, Senator Ali Ndume, has asked either President Bola Tinubu or his Vice, Kashim Shettima, to directly negotiate with the aggrieved organised labour - the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress .
The Senate Chief Whip also reportedly took a swipe at the officers of the Nigeria Police Force deployed to the National Assembly entrance gate that attempted to prevent the protesting workers from gaining entry into the assembly complex to register their demands with the National Assembly leadership.
The NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, flanked by the TUC President, Festus Osifo, while speaking during the peaceful protest reportedly said that Nigerians were suffocating under Tinubu administration as a result of the removal of petrol subsidy and its attendant hike in fuel pump price across the country.
