Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate committee on basic education, has filed a resolution seeking to assess the preparedness of schools in the country for the upcoming School Year 2023-2024. | charieabarcaINQ

In the midst of our continuous recovery from the pandemic and return to normalcy in the education sector, it is timely to review the readiness of our schools for the continued delivery of quality education. As the challenges and damage caused by the pandemic continue, it is important that we determine how we will address them”, Gatchalian said in Filipino.

Unless amended, the Department of Education earlier disclosed, through its Order No. 34, that School Year 2023 – 2024 will start on August 28, 2023 and end on June 28, 2024.
