The Lagos State Government has restructured and renamed the Ministry of Education and some of its Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), for

The Head of Service , Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, said this in a circular on Thursday in Lagos, NAN reports.

The HOS said the ministry would be responsible for the approval, regulation and monitoring of private, pre-primary, primary, post-primary, vocational and technical institutions; among other responsibilities. He said the ‘Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs’ would revert to its former name prior to the Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration, as the ‘Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development’ with a substantive ‘Office of Rural Development’.
