Well, the Church of England was heavily involved in slavery and so too was Elizabeth I. of England. For 150yrs the British monarchy monopolised the slave trade! I guess this means we remove all trace of them both too...?

House names change all the time, even when I was at school many many years ago we had house name changes. It’s not that big an issue, but to change the school name is a different story.

They are NOT rewriting history they are just not honouring a man who transported 80,000 slaves to America. He will still be in the history books. Bristol is a culturally diverse city not acceptable to honour slavery though sad to see Colston Hall being demolished
