The Department of Education (DepEd) renewed its commitment to support the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in its efforts for the country’s education sector.

“Guided by the aspirations of the President this year, we are keen to forge ahead and deliver results anew for the benefit of our Filipino education stakeholders,” DepEd said in a statement issued after Marcos delivered his second State of the Nation Address on July 24.

Marcos’ statements on basic education made in his second SONA, DepEd said, demonstrated his “dedication to improve the lives of every Filipino.” DepEd added that aligned with the directives of Marcos, it has been institutionalizing “relevant and innovative reforms” to recalibrate the curriculum.
