Several Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Metro Manila on Sunday, July 23, have announced class suspension or their shift to online classes on July 24 due to inclement weather and a 72-hour transport strike.

The Mapua University, De La Salle University , Colegio de Sta. Rosa , and iAcademy officially announced on their social media accounts the class suspension and their transition to virtual classes.

However, HEIs such as Colegio de San Juan de Letrán , Adamson University , Arellano University , Far Eastern University , University of Santo Tomas , St. Paul University Manila , Lyceum of Alabang, and University of the East announced on their social media accounts the suspension of their classes. Thus, decisions on whether a suspension or virtual classes are up to the head of private education institutions.
