Two teenagers who are now both 17 and spent critical days in the neonatal intensive care unit in Nashville, Tennessee, as babies, recently attended a high school prom together.

Leighton was born at 28 weeks, weighing 2 pounds, 10 ounces — Tatum was born at 24 weeks and weighed 1 pound, 7 ounces.
