Because today’s music is shit

Today's tunes are all crap

Debbie Harry?

If you like the music, you should check out the values, morals, self reliance, resiliency and challenging the status quo. Shitty music gets made in echo chambers and safe spaces. Emphasis on protest music, it helped gain civil rights versus just commercialized bullshit.

I am school teacher, and I must say, you are right!!

あながち

Because they were more catchy and the mind accepted lovely music instantly

True as music today is copies of the past with few tweaks here and there

Songwriting and studio technique slipping by the wayside in favor of overproduced cheese. I prefer a more rustic cheese than some factory nonsense. This is Brill Building copy cut and paste garbage which costs less. It shows.

Older Woman, so do I ,couldn't tell you one song any of these people sing ,

Tell us all we need to know about music today

For the songs with their melodies of the 1960's had meaning with purpose. Which was consoling to their listeners. That engendered love and romance which didn't in most cases, demean a female

What music needs today is more rap artists singing about 'biatches' and guns. We also need more grime artists singing about other things like 'biatches' and guns.

I barely listen to anything later than the 80’s sometimes early 90’s but I’ve not listened to current music in years.

That's because most new songs are shit

Like everyone else then

Millennials haven’t a clue what good music is, just listen to the crap today that we gotta endure 😖 Music from the 50s to the 90s was probably the best timeline.

If only !! How come the current UK charts is full of the recent rubbish and not ‘60s music then ? 😂

Yeah new music sucks

Probably because what they've heard from the 60s has lasted for their uniqueness. Today is either generic pop songs or post modern meaninglessness. There are simply not many well crafted lyrics since 1990. They are either dumb or obtuse.

That says an awful lot about the music of today

Blondie is actually my idol, music from 1960s - 1980s is much better than todays tunes! Although I still enjoy all music from 90s pop to now!

🤣

It's probably all to do with how often songs are played and at what ages they are when they first hear them they'll also be influenced from as young as 6mths old the music they hear their parents play this really is yet more junk Uni research because it's so bloody obvious.

This proves that all the good sons were written before 2001🤣😂

In the 60's music was made. At the present only organized noise is being composed

How do you tell the new ones apart? Even millennials are confounded by the soulless crap that passes for pop music today.

Somebody is still making music today ACTUAL music?

That's hardly surprising. In other news, more folk have read The Lord of the Rings than the current bestselling fantasy new release!

lmao
