2023 Belleville Sports Hall of Fame Top High School Athletes Jay Solomon and Katie McFaul .

The Belleville Sports Hall of Fame honoured the area’s top high school athletes with a ceremony Monday at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. After a lengthy hiatus, the hall returned to a June ceremony, enabling almost all of the top female and male athletes of the year from each of local high school to attend the event.Taking top honours were Katie McFaul from Centennial Secondary School and Jay Solomon from Eastside Secondary School.

McFaul was a standout basketball and rugby player, who plans to continue her rugby career at Guelph University next year, while Solomon was a badminton and swimming OFSAA participant, who will be attending Queen’s University next year where he will be playing baseball. The Belleville Sports Hall of Fame held its annual high school ceremony on Monday, June 26, 2023. l-r Lily Beauregard , Jennifer Keller , Madelyn Bardell , Ashton Mcguire , Sara Paul , Katie McFaul , Jay Solomon , Gregory Papakiriazis , Ty Foley , Liam Clark Thomas , Brady Allen , Aaron Weinstein , Mpumelelo Ilunga ABSENT – Franziska Schimmel , Julia Lammers , George Walcott .
