A resident of Lower Merion and Harrisburg, Goodman has an undergraduate and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.Pride Month recognizes the importance of living authentically as out LGBTQ+ people, but it is also an urgent call to action. It’s a reminder that being LGBTQ+ should carry no shame or stigma, only goodness and joy.
With more compassionate conversations on who LGBTQ really are, we can help heal the tears in our communities to come together for real freedom and justice for all. We will continue to have issues arise until we get to the root cause of anti-LGBTQ bias, which I think largely comes from unfounded fears and misinformation.
