Parents have reportedly left work for the day to protest outside Benton Park School

Parents of pupils at Benton Park School have shared their fury after teachers "barricaded gates" and "denied pupils entry".

Around 12pm on Thursday, June 15, parents told Leeds Live that their children have been banned from entering the gates this afternoon and they have had "no communication" from the school. Crowds of students were pictured waiting outside while parents also reportedly turned up to protest. Posting in a Yeadon community group, one parent said: "Benton Park School refusing to allow Year 11 students to attend leaving do." The post also claimed that teachers were "barricading gates".One eyewitness said: "Pupils are all gathered outside the school gates and are not being allowed in for their leavers' assembly.
