You jest. You are not saying the Shah was part of a monarchy? He was an arm officer who pulled off a coup and declared a 2,500 year old Chrysanthemum throne. What BS. After the coup, his major domo worked for me so I knew, plus, go look it up.

Right, Iran is a theocratic republic. It was never set up for family dynasties. Everyone in the Iran government is either elected or appointed by someone elected. Including the supreme council.

Khomeini and his protégés caused enough death and destruction,his family would only have made it worse.
