The event was also aimed at promoting mental health awareness and encouraging the community to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Headed by NUMed’s Lau Siew Ping and Ashley Yap May Yee, the team comprised Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Year 5 students. It was their way of giving back to the Johor community who had contributed to the success of their clinical postings.

The students were joined by NUMed lecturers as well as staff from Gelang Patah health clinic, Taman Ungku Tun Aminah dental clinic and Hospital Sultan Ismail. TUTA dental clinic staff also provided free dental screenings for 60 visitors to detect various issues like gingivitis, periodontitis and cavities.
