A third student asked Enns to explain and he again asked for the first student to come back and discuss it, then claimed that student “had been cupping and moving their breasts in a sexualized manner,” and again mimicked the actions he thought were inappropriate by grabbing his own chest.
Also in fall 2021, Enns retweeted two Twitter posts, one about a 60 Minutes segment “acknowledging the role of peer influence & social media in encouraging trans identification in teens, the rising population of detransitioners, & a medical system that ‘affirms’ self-diagnoses of gender dysphoria in place of adequate oversight.”Article content
In March 2022, Enns was disciplined and suspended 10 days without pay over the inappropriate student dealings but wasn’t disciplined about the retweets. He was instead urged to remember how his social media posts might be viewed by students and parents at the school and how they might draw conclusions about his beliefs based on them.
That led to another five-day suspension and Enns was warned “to refrain from singling students out publicly regarding confidential, medical or sensitive information.”
