The booklet featured Winnie-the-Pooh characters instructing children on what to do in the case of a mass .

The Dallas Independent School District has apologized after children were sent home with a Winnie the Pooh-inspired book that explained school shootings.

Following concern from parents, the Dallas ISD issued an apology and stated they did not provide enough context for the booklet. "Recently a booklet was sent home so parents could discuss with their children how to stay safe in such cases.
