The Prime Minister insisted he was committed to making changes to the curriculum if necessary

The Prime Minister added: “It’s something that really matters to me. We are going through the work, we are looking at the curriculum. I don’t want to pre-empt the findings of the review, what I want is a curriculum that is sensitive and age appropriate. Our children are precious, they deserve to be protected, sensitively.”

He also expressed support for the argument of Suella Braverman, the Home Secretary, who said at a conference that white people should not be made to feel guilty for historical racism and injustice. Mr Sunak said: “With all this stuff I’d say just look at the coronation. A brilliant example of what our country is about. That was a celebration of our history, our traditions, our values, and our culture. It was also a reflection of our modern country.

“People who want to know what Britain’s about, just look at that weekend. We did something I don’t think any other country could do. We did it in a way no other country could match. It makes all of us, it makes me very proud.”
