A Lansdowne Middle School student had just missed their bus when a man in a large, older-model SUV pulled over, got out and offered a lift.

Oak Bay police are investigating a report of a suspicious driver offering a Lansdowne Middle School student a ride.

Police were called about 10 a.m. on May 9 to the area of Foul Bay Road and Watson Street, and were told by the student that they had just missed their bus when a man in a large, older-model SUV pulled over, got out and offered a lift.The suspect is described as white and from six feet to six-foot-three, with a red face, thinning hair, and rotten and missing teeth, while the vehicle is described as a 2010-2012 Ford Escape with tan-and-dark brown seats.
