The Deputy Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, Adamawa State, Prof Musa Malgwi is dead. Malgwi died while on an official duty in Abuja, according to a statement from the university. He reportedly died after exhibiting symptoms of heart attack, according to a family friend.

While announcing the death of the university don, the Vice Chancellor of MAU, Prof. Abdullahi Liman Tukur said,"On behalf of the University community, I regret to announce the passing away of Professor Mohammed Musa Malgwi in the early hours of 18th May 2023 while on an official duty in Abuja."
