The Better Business Bureau is reminding the public to remain cautious about quick job offers and work-from-home gigs that require little to no experience.

The Better Business Bureau is warning job seekers in B.C. of fake employment scams that result in thousands of dollars of losses.

But the cheques started to bounce from the bank and the student ended up finding the real employer and found the job they thought they had was not real. The BBB Canadian Risk Report says employment scams are the fifth riskiest scam in 2022, behind home improvements, cryptocurrency, advance fee loan and investment scams, which rank first to fourth, respectively.
