Responding to the Florida ban of a 35-year-old children's book by Australian author Mem Fox, Sarah Henderson said trying to cancel 'amazing stories by incredible authors' is 'just not acceptable'.

Ms Fox’s 1988 book ‘Guess What?’ has been banned in Florida’s Duval County due to an image of an “old witch” taking a bath “in an old laundry trough”, which was deemed to be pornographic in nature and not suitable for kids.

Shadow education minister Sarah Henderson slammed the ban as"just not acceptable". While Senator Henderson described the banning of ‘Guess What?’ as a “woke type approach,” Mem Fox’s book has actually been captured by a law passed by Florida’s conservative Republican governor Ron DeSantis.
