Blackpool mum unable to walk or talk after stroke that she thought was a migraine

A Lancashire woman has opened up about surviving a deadly brain injury and having to learn to walk and talk again.

Chloe's family members were told to visit the mum, who is General Manager at Blackpool Football Club Hotel, in order to say goodbye as she was not expected to make it through the operation she underwent. But miraculously, Chloe survived and after eight days in intensive care in Salford, she was moved to Royal Preston Hospital, then Chorley Hospital and Chorley's Rockwood B - a stroke rehabilitation ward.

"I went into rehab on a hoist, and left walking with a stick," Chloe said. Now, she wants to show her appreciation towards the Sue Ryder Neurological Care Centre Lancashire, by raising much-needed funds. "It would be amazing if the local community got behind me and supported this event. With a 3-course meal, entertainment and a number of fabulous prizes and auction items up for grabs, it’s sure to be a great night."
