Reports say the driver's foot became stuck between the pedals of the vehicle, causing it to accelerate and crash into Ross Intermediate School in Butler County, Ohio.

HAMILTON, Ohio — A man who went to pick up his grandchildren from school Thursday accidentally got his foot stuck between the pedals of his vehicle, causing it to accelerate and crash through the wall of the school.

Although the car caused “heavy structural damage” to Ross Intermediate School in Butler County, there were no children in the room in which the car crashed and no injuries were reported,Students and staff were evacuated from the building after the crash, which occurred at about 3 p.m.,“Just to be safe we got everybody out of the building,” Ross Local School District Superintendent Chad Konkle
