SYDNEY, N.S. — A Cape Breton player and coach were recently successful in winning the Midwest Prep School Hockey League championship. Rory Pilling of Glace Bay and Brandon Syms of New Waterford were members of the Rothesay Netherwood School Riverhawks, who defeated Wyoming Seminary 2-1 in the championship game.Pilling is a player with the team but didn't play in the final due to an injury, while Syms is an assistant coach with the club.Rory Pilling of Glace Bay has played this season with the Rothesay Netherwood School boys’ hockey team in New Brunswick.
