JOHANNESBURG - Parents and guardians will have to pay more for their children’s education as the country’s cost of living crisis persists.
Consumer inflation increased again in March to 7.1%, with food prices continuing to climb while consumers feel the pinch.Overall, fees increased by 5.1% this year, which was higher than last year’s recorded increase. “Fees for primary and pre-primary schools were up 6.3%, secondary schools 5.8%, and tertiary institutions up 5.3%.”
