House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, pictured, reportedly laughed when asked if he would be supporting a reelection push by embattled New York Republican Representative George Santos.A Santos press release on Monday praised the congressman for"setting the bar high," arguing that he"has proven to be a diligent legislator and outspoken critic of the Washington Establishment.

Santos went on to blast the political left for"pushing radical agendas," while boasting that he was"not shy about doing what it takes to get the job done."after filing papers with the Federal Election Commission last month for his reelection campaign, although his campaign was not officially launched until Monday.
