That's a good start. If someone can take the person out earlier, it will save lives. Next, triage and basic first aid should be offered to all school employees. Employees should have the right to volunteer for the training at their discretion.

There should be armed security at all schools. These cowards that attack helpless students and faculty will not risk the possibility of someone shooting back. If trained, coordinated assistance is volunteered by staff, that would add to the deterrent.
