-- A shooting at the entrance to a beach in Evanston left one teen dead and two wounded Wednesday night, and the Evanston campus of Northwestern University was placed on lockdown for over an hour with the suspects at large.
Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said two 15-year-old boys were wounded and an 18-year-old was killed in the shooting. One of the 15-year-olds was in critical condition. Northwestern said on Twitter that the suspects then fled north toward campus, the university said. The suspects were spotted going north on Sheridan Road in a sedan, Northwestern said.
