Mr. Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, a former Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Director of Publicity and Voter Education, has said electronic collation

Osaze-Uzzi spoke on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday.

According to him, the prescribed mode of collating results is manual, adding that Section 64 of the Electoral Act empowers INEC to commence collating the result upon verification and confirmation of the result. “The prescribed mode is the manual collation; it did not say you should collate electronically. There’s nowhere in the law, guidelines you will see electronic ,” Osaze-Uzzi said.

“Go back to 64 . Verification and confirmation that’s what is required with the electronically transmitted. But collation is still manual. “Before you start that process, you must go to the electronic ones and say, ‘Are these figures consistent?’ It does not say to start collating from the BVAS transmitted results. It says to start collation. In that sense, it’s a manual process,” he added.

Chai! See men we thought were men of honour & integrity. It's good that they are exposing themselves with the turn of events in Nigeria following the most fraudulent elections ever conducted in the history of Nigeria since her independence in 1960. How much were you paid, Mr Uzi?

Mr Osaze-Uzzi, is this what you preached before the elections? You people are killing Nigeria.

Why did they gave us assurance that it would be transmitted electronically? You judge a man by his words.

You are right

If it's not compulsory as you said, why spending the huge amount of money and giving the citizenry the hope that results will be uploaded via bivas.

Did INEC forgot her tweet stating that electronic transmission was compulsory? Labour Party legal team must dig deeper.

the tell me what is scam

It is not compulsory but where it has been made the main confidence and a rule in the election to make people vote and they believed in it and voted, it becomes compulsory that it must be used. Failure to adhere to rules of a contest is very fatal.

Perfectly said

I don't understand how so called educated men will be ostentatious in the way and manner they spue falsehood.

But why lie to the people from the beginning? Why not state it from offset and save the people of this stress? Now is it my fault or yours? If yours, then I have the right to disagree with you.

Sense is far from you sir

Electronic collation and electronic transmission of results are 2 separate things, stop muddling it together to confuse the ignorant ones. INEC in their guidelines promised an electoral transmission of results in real time from the polling unit but reneged at the last hour

The issue that is making me cry me is APC has agreed that TINUBU was involved in drug issues, are you sure we will survive this court case ? 😭😭😭😭😭

I hope this help all you

Not compulsory and they have a budget of 350 billion naira voted for it?

Current INEC begs to differ

Bunch of corrupt and kickbacks ridden govt officials, with compromised integrity

Why bring out bvas? This inecnigeria chairman and his group need to be jail

I listened to his full interview,he stated that electronic transmission is mandatory at the PU and that the collation officer by law needs to compare the correctness of the electronic and the hard copy results before manual collation of results. Don't confuse your readers

There is no normal person in that agency

Electronics transmission os our concern not collations

See dem, na dem dem...

You people are disgracing Nigerians, if it's not compulsory, why wasting so much for elections only to revert to manual. That argument will not stand because INEC chairman said BVAS/iREV are d game changer in 2023 elections. It's in INEC guideline which is d law of d elections

Keep quiet!... Ahhh

What of electronic transmission.

The god of the laws has spoken

But electronic transmission of results from the polling units is mandatory

The bone of contention has been electronic transmission and not collation if I'm not mistaken
