Education Department rule would allow some restrictions on trans athletes

The Education Department proposed a rule Thursday in connection with the growing number of states that have banned transgender student-athletes from participating on school sports teams that align with their gender identities.

First, the restriction must"be substantially related to the achievement of an important educational objective," and, second, it must"minimize harms to students whose opportunity to participate on a male or female team consistent with their gender identity would be limited or denied," according to the draft of the proposed rule.

The official said the department expects that elementary school students would be able to participate on school sports teams consistent with their gender identities under the proposed rule, while schools might choose to restrict the participation of some trans students in higher grade levels in certain cases.

We need to ban gender ideology from every facet of society - not just school sports.

There are major parts of this rule I don't like there is a comment period and I plan to voice those concerns , but it does forbid universal bans which is good but there are compromises I am sure meant to head off Supreme Court challenges that seem to much like the compromises…

Just try and read this report. Blah Blah with sentences that are ambiguous. Just say after 13 years old biological men can not compete as a woman in women’s sports.

Hopefully this will get people to wise up and realize that we need to abolish the Federal Department of Education along with many other 3 letter agencies. Legislation should be the ones making laws not unelected bureaucrats.

They should not be competing against individuals of the opposite sex. Period!
