"When they said you have the option to resign without violating your contract, I said, ‘I didn’t do anything wrong.’ I said, ‘If I did, tell me what it is.’ They said, ‘We can’t do that.’ I said, 'In that case, since I don’t know what I did wrong, you can go ahead and terminate me without cause." However, he said a student asked to talk to a counselor, after getting upset. "I put a disclaimer on the bottom of the lesson saying this is in no way to upset you." That happened during the first period. During his second-period class, he said a supervisor came to observe. "I said, ‘Who knows what you do in the restroom if there’s an active shooter?’ and no one knew. So I started to explain the process, and she shut me down.
Stop reporting this shit. Focus more on making our cities SAFE
Asking kids to write their own obituaries is incredibly cruel. What happened to writing about hope for their futures?
Writing your own obituary is pretty traumatic - maybe adults should focus on enacting laws that protect children.

I don't necessarily disagree with the message but it's this stray from the approved curriculum that has begun the GREAT CORRECTION in schools across the country. Personal agendas are not acceptable in any school lesson!
