Quebec’s education minister says it will soon be forbidden to have prayer rooms in the province’s public schools.
Drainville says he will issue the directive to all school services centres, adding that prayer rooms in schools are not compatible with official secularism — a guiding principle of the Quebec state. Drainville’s position has evolved in the past 24 hours — on Tuesday he told schools not to reserve rooms for a single religion and to ensure prayer spaces respected gender equality.

You can’t have separate prayer rooms but you can have “safe spaces” for minority groups only at Universities in Canada?
Is it really necessary to pray out loud honestly? You dont hear people fighting for the right to read out loud in libraries. I dont see why this isnt a so so compromise.

What gives them the right to impose secularization on the citizenry?
Quebec is radical in all the wrong ways. I was born in Quebec and left in 1981 after they rules that only kids who have an Anglophone mother can attend an English school. (It didn't affect my kids as I was Anglo.) But it is unfair & undemocratic.
Children should be learning in school....not praying
