Genesis Lara Tucson Unified School District aims to increase student participation in advanced learning experiences, such as the Gifted and Talented Education program, to at least 40% within five years.
Saczko said her team is working with school administrators to identify potential areas of growth for specific sites. She said TUSD is in line to surpass the 400-student increase by the end of the 2022-23 school year and she expects those numbers will continue to rise from the lower participation in pandemic years.

Career and Technical EducationAs for the separate Career and Technical Education program, about 45% of high school students were participating in it on the 40th day of the 2021-22 school year.
