Republican legislators in Tennessee are reportedly aiming to expel three Democratic colleagues after they joined protesters demanding gun control last week.

Protesters also gathered at the House Chamber yesterday to protest the expulsion, with many chanting, “Fascists! Fascists!” Jones also posted video of an alleged altercation with Republican Rep. Justin Lafferty of Knoxville on the House floor and accused Lafferty of misconduct.

In the video Jones shared, both he and Lafferty are taking videos of the protesters in the galleries. Jones then turns around and briefly films over Lafferty’s shoulder, at which point Lafferty turns and appears to swat Jones’ phone. Jones wrote on Twitter that Lafferty “pushes me and grabs my phone.”

Come on people they did not get kicked for protesting!!! It was for there choice of location to hold the protest ! So because they are in congress means they can brake the law or should we play the race card as they did ! Why do some people have to play the race card when wrong

It was an insurrection that they helped with.

Yes, well, they participated in an insurrection so they must be expelled.

No…free speech and right to protest.
