This morning at 10:25 a.m., a caller reported an active shooter at Monroe Catholic High School to the Fairbanks Emergency Communications Center.
Officers from the Fairbanks Police Department , along with other law enforcement, responded and checked every room in the building. No evidence of a shooter was found and the 911 call was determined to be a hoax.FPD Chief Ron Dupee said of the incident, “It’s unfortunate that students, parents, staff, and the whole community has to go through incidents like this. I’m once again proud of the response from our officers and many other local law enforcement agencies.
