Welsh school ski groups spent the night in hotels due to ferry hold-ups at Dover affecting their onward journeys on the other side of the Channel.
Officials blamed slower border processing and a higher-than-expected number of coaches as causes of the delays which began on Friday. "The most frustrating thing was that when we were on the boat, it wasn't busy at all," said teacher Bethan Cambourne.

My daughter was on her coach with other pupils like this in 2006.
Our school kids got turned away & lost their ski trip because the driver was out of driving hours even though they have been stationary for 18 hrs no food/water!

This was us! We were due to arrive at our resort at 5pm last night and still on the road now with 3 hours to go! Our drivers have been great, but we have had to change our trip to accommodate the health and safety of everyone!
The country voted for this. If the UK was in the EU the border would stilly busy at holidays but it would be a lot smoother without the bureaucracy. It was a stupid move to leave the EU. A historic mistake but then those who don't travel that much got their blue fuken passports.

Dam the cost of living, ski holidays , local school just come back from a sports holiday in Barbados.
It’s taken my Granddaughters school ski party 46 hours to travel from West Sussex to Austria by coach thanks to the 11+ hours delay at Dover plus more delays at passport control in France.
Let’s get this Brexit sorted
No doubt Brexity types will be all over this banging on about privileged rich kids going skiing. Nobody must be allowed to enjoy themselves now must they, everybody must be dragged into the dirty water (literally) of this shitshow.
