Police say the sophomore was shot in the chest, and they are offering a $30,000 reward for information leading them to the suspects.

Police are searching for four suspects after a 15-year-old Philadelphia high school football player was shot and killed while walking to school earlier this week.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspects and they are offering a $30,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction,Anyone with information can contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or leave an anonymous tip at 215-686-8477. Wynita Burnside told CBS Philadelphia her son was an honor roll student who dreamed of someday playing professional football.

Incredibly, unbelievably and tragically, CBS said that Weedon is the 18th Philadelphia School District Student killed this academic year.
