Education Minister Norma Foley says 320 of them will be up for grabs this year 📝

610 extra places are being provided to train primary school teachers.The remaining 290 will come on stream in 2024.90 additional places on the B.Ed. programme in 2023 and 2024, making a total of 1,090 each year.200 additional places on the Professional Master ofThe courses will be on offer at DCU, Mary Immaculate College, Marino Institute of Education and Maynooth University.

The Department of Education says it's"anticipated that demand for primary teachers over the next number of years will exceed previous expectations."
