“In addition, we know that our engineering laboratories or workshops in most of the institutions were built like 20 to 30 years ago. However, technology is changing on a regular basis. One of the things that need to be done is to re-equip all engineering laboratories in the country. Hence, every faculty of engineering in the country should be modernised with modern facilities.”
He said, “These schools would be where engineering graduates go to see how things are manufactured firsthand for 6 months or more, being a place for practical application of theoretical knowledge gained while in the university.” He said, “We need to find ways of utilising the internal resources we have to solve the Nigerian problems. There is a need to ensure that Nigerian problems are taken up by Nigerian engineers as is being done in other climes.
