We should be careful not to confuse a number of high quality 'independent' Steiner school's (which have and do ensure the safety of their children) with more recent free schools that have been set up by people claiming to follow 'a Steiner curriculum'. They are very different.

Having had two children attend a Steiner school, I take exception to this poorly researched article. Why didn’t she just add hippies and yoghurt weavers and be done with it. Bad journalism Zoe!

And maybe look at the government agenda to get schools to join MATs. My sons school was forced down this road and if the parents had not risen up in a truly impressive way the school would have been forced into a ruinous relationship with Oasis. You need to look into the agenda.

you have no knowledge of the actual schools and your article is just opinion. I know parents of children at the Bristol School. Parents are happy. The school was addressing concerns in the last Ofsted and this inspection came only months after the last report. Maybe go and look?
